Creating guidebooks
Create a New Guide
Once you have created an account and logged in, click on the “New Guide” button:
Begin the Guide
After clicking the “New Guide” button, you will be given two options:
Create a Custom Guidebook:
This allows you to start with a neighborhood or city, and you will add all of your favorite places one-by-one.AI Generated Guidebook
This requires you to start with a specific starting point address, usually an Airbnb/STR home address, and then our AI assistant will automatically populate a guidebook for you, which you can then add/remove/edit locations as you please.
Create a Custom Guidebook
Start by typing in a City or Neighborhood name, and you will see recommended options to select. In the image below, you will see we typed “Seattle”, and then the recommended option for “Seattle, WA, USA” appeared. Click on the recommended option you want.
Note: Booee only supports USA and Canada at this time.
After selecting the recommended option, you will be presented with the ability to create a name and description of your guidebook. Fill out those inputs, and then you will be allowed to click the “Create Guide” button.
AI Generated Guidebook
Start by typing in a full address. This address will usually an Airbnb/STR home address. After your address has been selected, you will give your Guidebook a name and description, following which you can click the “Create Guide” button.
The process usually takes 30 seconds to generate, so please be patient. Once complete you will automatically be redirected to the newly created guidebook, where you can add/remove/edit any places that we included in the guide.
Editing Your Guidebook
There are a variety of tools made available for you to fully customize your guidebook.
Start Editing!
The first step you must do is click edit icon. This will start you off on the journey of editing your guidebook.
Adding/Changing the Guidebook Image
Click on the “Choose file” button to upload your own guide image. Once you have a selected an image, click on the “Update image” button.
Guidebook Categories
Your guidebook will come provided with some default categories (eg Restaurants, Bars, Shopping), however, you can add/remove from a variety of other options. Simple click on the blue pencil icon to to edit your the categories for your guidebook.
Type in the input area below “Update Guide Sections” and you will be given a variety of recommended options based on your input. Simply click any of these options, and it will be added to your “Selected Categories” list.
Uncheck any of the boxes on the right-hand side to remove any categories from your guidebook.
Add Places
To add places to your guidebook, start typing in the input box under an appropriate category. After you start typing, you will be given some recommended options to choose from. Click on one and it will be added to that category.
Once it’s added you will see it appear on the map, and you will also be able to write up a description of the place.
Sort Places
To re-order the places in a category, click-hold on the sort handle located on the left-hand side of a place listing, and then drag it up or down in the list.
Remove/Delete a Place
If you want to remove a place from a category, click on the trash can icon, which is located on the right-hand site of a place listing.
Save Guide
To save your changes, click on the red “Save” button at the top of the guide editing area.
Delete a Guidebook
If you would like to delete your guidebook, scroll to the bottom and you will see the link to “Delete Guide”.
SETTINGS
In your guidebook dashboard, you will see a button to edit the settings for each of your guides.
Use House Manuals (for Airbnb/STR Hosts)
If you want to add or remove a House Manual for inclusion with your guid.
Guide is publicly searchable
This allows you to make your guide private or public.
Add a co-host to this guide
If you would like to add a co-host, add an email and send the invite. Users who already have accounts on Booee.com will immediately gain “Co-host” access to a guide, which allows them to edit a Guide and House Manual.
Other users will receive an email invite, where they can click a link to create a free account and receive access to the co-host guide. Co-Hosts have the ability to add and edit information to any guide they have been invited to, but do not have access to change settings or delete guidebooks.
